Teaching advice from Craig

Created by Steve 3 years ago

David, my son and I came down to Bovey some ten years ago, with a view to picking up some teaching tips. David was studying education at Durham, and wanted some guidance from an old hand. David asked how to maintain class discipline. Craig said he had an old football sock next to the black board that he never washed. The children were told to sniff said sock should they fail to produce homework or misbehave. Craig reckoned that he had no behavioural issues with his classes. He also told us about chemistry experiments going awry.

We also had a fantastic walk on Dartmoor near Princetown followed by the inevitable pub visit. We met the Royal marine commandos coming the other way.
