At the start of a limited over cricket season Craig challenged me to most runs scored over a season. I didn't hesitate having seen him bat in his energetic but  rudimentary style. I was middle order. Throughout the season I maintained a reasonable but steady lead. Going into the last game I think I had about a twenty or thirty run advantage. I got out for close to nothing and he produced this miraculous display slogging and connecting with everything.  On his last ball he swung so hard he split his trousers from crotch to knee and managed a four to clinch the bet. You can imagine the  reaction. Well done Craig. A la Ian Botham with gaping trousers. I never really had the grace to say that without feeling a little bit peeved. Sorry.
